Features & Info

Learn what makes Trek's WSD (Women-Specific Design) bicycles special.

Trek's WSD bikes feature women's-specific frames and components for a wonderful, custom fit and amazing ride. For example, the frames sport short top tubes, tall head tubes, steeper seat-tube angles and decreased head angles. These details ensure top-notch handling, comfort and pedaling efficiency. Complementing the great ride are proportional crankarms, anatomic saddles, narrow handlebars, short-reach controls and small-diameter grips. Take a test ride and experience the WSD difference!

Really nice bike

Pros:
Durable, Versatile
Cons:
Best Uses:
Purchased Trek Verve 2 for my wife and purchased a men's version for me. Great bikes. We like them a lot. Very attractive color designs and comfortable. Added silver fenders for my wife which I may get later in the rainy season. Also purchased the tire liners to protect from thorns which caused us flats in prior years with other bikes. Per recommendation of the salesmen, brought them in for a free gear tune up at 30 days. My wife's needed it as the chain fell off the inner forward sprocket once and the handle gear indicator wouldn't line up with the gear number most of the time. Works good again.

Couldn't Be Happier

Pros:
EASY TO RIDE, Zippy, Comfortable
Cons:
Best Uses:
Commuting/City, Road Biking
I appreciated that the salesperson started with this bike: I don't need more than 21 gears, but I still wanted something speedy and good for more than just a ride to the corner store. Having the dropped center bar greatly increases my confidence getting on and off the bike, and once I'm on, I feel extremely comfortable: no strain on my back or my neck. The ride is smooth, but I still feel like I can pick up speed as much as I want to. If only it came in sparkly orange, it would be my dream bike!
