Daily Rider Stays Strong

Pros:
Durable, Smooth, Stylish
Cons:
Best Uses:
All Purpose Bike
I've had my Townie going on 3yrs now. I bought the Extended Version. I'm a big guy, 6ft 235. I ride this bike to work everyday and for fun on my days off. I treat it like a mountain bike at times pulling wheelies and jumping curbs. I run it through the gears like a motocross bike. I'm on my second set of back brakes and second rear tire. Other than normal wear and tear this machine has stood up to my abuse and then some. I bought 3 cheap bikes and destroyed them in just over a year. Other than a few scratches my Electra Townie looks like I just bought it. It could use better grips but thats it. I may upgrade those today. Liked it so much I bought one for my wife the next day!

Really excellent bikes!

Pros:
Durable, Great Components, Comfortable, Lightweight, Attractive Design, Handles Well
Cons:
Best Uses:
Neighborhood Riding, Road Biking
My daughter and I ride in organized road cycling events. I wanted to get my wife a bike that is excellent quality, safe, uncomplicated, and easy to ride. I bought her the Electra 3i. I was so impressed with it that I bought myself one. These bikes are the best and have the highest quality workmanship and components and are an absolute joy to ride. Now my wife and I are riding more often and longer distances. Like I said, these bikes are just the best and a joy to ride.

Best bike for me

Pros:
Flat Foot Tech For Stabil, Seat Is Comfy For Long Ri, Lightweight Frame Easy Ha, Easy Ride 20 Plus Miles, Lower Ride Less Accident
Cons:
Best Uses:
Best All Around Bike For
I loved this bike the moment I got on it. I have increased distance riding, sometimes riding for hours with few stops. If it's windy, I drop down to 2nd gear and take my time, but I can still do over 20 miles. I ride with a friend and my bike outrides and out-maneuvers hers, yet she is younger and thinner and more athletic.I adore the flatfoot technology, which gives stability and I feel safer. I have had no spills since buying this bike, as I did on my old bike which rode too high.I love my Electra Townie!

BigBoy Tough with Comfort and Smoothness

Pros:
Great Components, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Handles Well, Durable
Cons:
Best Uses:
Leisure, Exercise, RECREATIONAL
I performed much research for a bike sturdy enough to hold a 500+ lb Polynesian man. There are few choices that are ready to ride immediately without modification. After test riding several Electra models, the smoothness and ease of shifting of the 3i sold me. The flat foot technology helps me peddle with the balls of my feet instead of the heels while taking weight and pressure on my hands and arms by allowing me to sit straight up. I have owned my bike for 3 months and love it. Three gears are plenty for the recreational riding I do. Mahalo (thank you) Electra.

A very good adult bike for casual riding

Pros:
Simple Maintence, Durable, Looks nice, Lightweight, Shifts Easy
Cons:
Saddle Is Uncomfortable
Best Uses:
Commuting/City, Beginner Biker
I've owned this bike about five years and have gotten great enjoyment from it. It's a very good bike for an older adult that wants to get back into riding bikes. I've made a few minor changes. The saddle was a bit too uncomfortable for me. Too wide! I put a nicer English leather saddle on it, recommended by my bike mechanic, problem solved! I can ride it forty, fifty miles, with no discomfort now. I put a Townie rear rack on it and a set of panniers. I can carry a lot of stuff without a problem. I can average about 10-12 MPH in high gear. Low is plenty adequate for most hills. I highly recommend it for older adults that haven't rode a bike in a while and want to get back to it. It's a good value for the price.

love the look, love the ride!

Pros:
Stylish, Durable, Lightweight, Comfortable
Cons:
Best Uses:
Leisurely Rides, Commuting, Street Riding
I was a little worried when I first bought this bicycle, mainly because of the price. But once I took it out for a spin I was blown away by the comfort and ride of the bike. Also, not that it means that much to people but for me, I love the compliments. Everywhere I go I get people asking me if they can test ride it or just take a few snap shots....I don't live in a big bicycle city. Buy this bike, the flat red color is nicer in person.

I have ridden this bike to work,at the beach and down the city streets. It just doesn't get any better than this. A smooth ride and very comfortable. The internal shifter works like a dream. By far the best bike I have ever owned. Do yourself a favor and get on one of these fine machines.
